Juniperdale Farms & The Produce Crib
APPLE VARIETIES
There are over 2,500 different varieties of apples grown in the United states, and over 7,500 throughout the world! There is an apple to meet your every need. At the Produce Crib, we grow many of your favorite apples, such as Honey Crisp, McIntosh and Gala. We taste-test and take suggestions from customers, so we can grow the most flavorful and useful apples. We now have approximately 32 different varieties. In spring 2017, we will be planting another 200 trees, in hopes of beginning PYO apples in a few years.
The following is a list of the varieties of apples we currently offer, and characteristics about them. Whether your baking, cooking, or fresh eating; and no matter your preference- tart, sweet, firm or soft fleshed- we have the perfect apple for you!
